Brean Play, one of the regions’ biggest indoor play centre located at Brean Leisure Park, Somerset has raised £200 through its ‘Childrens Christmas Cheer’ charity campaign and this morning presented a cheque to Janey Hellmen (pictured left), Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser at Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW). As well as the donation a FREE Christmas Party for 10 Children who are supported by CHSW was held to allow the children to play, have a Christmas meal and visit with Father Christmas with gift. For every hot drink purchased by our visitors throughout November and December in Brean Play a donation of 10p was made for childrens charities / hospices in the County. Brean Play asked customers to nominate a childrens charity / hospice in the region and Childrens Hospice South West received the highest number of nominations.
The charity provides hospice care for children with life-limiting conditions and their whole family across the South West. The care offered is wide ranging; respite and short breaks, emergency care, palliative care and end of life care. For more details on the charity visit www.chsw.org.uk
Kieran Spottiswoode Director said ‘Project Christmas Cheer was our chance to raise some money for this important charity but also to get those involved within the Charity to come and have some fun time at Brean Play, we are really pleased to hear they had a great time and our grateful for our visitors who donated.’
