With a long bank holiday weekend and the school Easter holiday break, it’s the perfect time to get away with the family and enjoy some quality time together and make memories. Our family-themed activities are a great way to get the whole family involved, whatever your age.
Traditional Easter Activities
Enjoy painting an Easter Egg, creating your very own Easter Bonnet and joining in with the Easter Egg trail around the resort, all with a chance to win prizes for the winners as we celebrate the Easter holidays in traditional style.
We provide all the materials you need (small charge applicable) for the Easter Egg painting and Easter Bonnet making workshops.
Science, Skills & Gaming
Our Crazy Science Show involves some explosive experiments and is suitable for all children of school age, join in with the Sand Art and sculpt some amazing creations or bring out your artistic side and paint a piece of pottery. Every morning in RJ’s entertainment venue you can join us for family fun, which includes Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Lego Challenge from 10am until 12 noon. Compete against family members in our Scrap Heap Challenge and create a masterpiece out of recyclable items, and learn all about recycling with Granny Litterbug’s “Let’s Go Green in Brean”. If you fancy yourself as the next “Greatest Showman”, join in our Circus Skills Workshop too!
Traditional Family Entertainment
From performances of Punch and Judy to Aladdin, to our very own Pirates of the Carabrean, there are plenty of fun family shows to keep you entertained throughout your Easter Break. With a programme of entertainment, fun and games that goes from morning through the late into the evening, there is something for every member of the family to enjoy.
We also welcome back to Holiday Resort Unity Superstars of Wrestling with all star international professional wrestlers, always popular with our visitors and an enjoyable interactive performance every time.
Each day and evening, our resident resort characters Buster, Sally and Huey the Pigs and Cecil the Wolf will join us for meet and greets and family fun time with music, dancing and games, magic shows and resort clown Tommy Tumble, as well as the very popular Nutty Noah.
Live Evening Entertainment
Every night here at Holiday Resort Unity you will be treated to fantastic live music and entertainment acts from stars of prime time TV shows such as The X Factor and The Voice, tribute acts, and live bands performing songs from across the generations.
Over this Easter break you can enjoy acts including Roy Hemmings, from The Drifters, Not The Blues Brothers and Jackson Forever tribute acts and The Soul Brothers featuring Roy Carter from Heatwave, famous for Boogie Nights.
Things to Do on Resort
As well as the jam-packed programme of entertainment and activities, there are plenty of other things to do here on resort. As a guest of Holiday Resort Unity, you receive 50% discount off of entry into Brean Play and Brean Splash, our award-winning leisure attractions with indoor play for children from birth to 11, including sensory play, and two indoor heated swimming pools – a standard 25m lane pool and a bespoke baby and toddler pool, as well as an indoor splash pool with lots of colourful and bright water features.
Brean Theme Park is open on selected days over the Easter period (please see their website for the latest opening dates and times) and discounted wristbands are available for our guests.
Our outdoor play area, which includes a Pump Track, fishing lake, and dog walk will all, of course, be open for your use, as well as our multiple food and drink outlets which include The Tavern, the Bucket & Spade, Sea Salt Fish & Chip Takeaway, Subway, Wimpy, Bay of India and Treasure Chinese Takeaway. If you didn’t visit us last year and you are bringing your dog with you, visit COAST, our award-winning dog friendly café that also includes a three course doggy menu!
Our brand new development at Brean Country Club is now open for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and evening meals, as well as being the new home to Brean Golf Club.
We also have a Costcutter supermarket on site that is always well-stocked!
Sunshine Farm opens twice daily, and this year we welcome the new arrival of our two Kunekune pigs, Pinky and Perky!
Things to Do in the area
Just across the road from us you will find seven miles of sandy beach. Perfect for a walk, building sandcastles and taking in the local scenery. If you fancy a climb, take a walk up Brean Down which offers breathtaking views of the Somerset Coast, and across to the south coast of Wales on a clear day.
The traditional seaside resorts of Burnham-on-Sea and Weston-super-Mare are within easy reach by car or abus that stops just outside of the main entrance.
