March is a tricky month for outdoor activities, with the cold, wind and rain. Finding time when you can go out and enjoy yourselves is easier said than done. Luckily, HRU has some great options right here at our resort for when the weather Gods are smiling on us.
Brean golf club
With a course layout updated last year, you’re sure to enjoy our 18 hole par 69 golf course. Open 363 days a year and with a 50% discount during your holiday, if you’re staying with us be sure to hit the greens. Boasting club, buggy and shoe hire, a well-stocked on-site shop and lessons for beginners or people looking to brush up on their backswing, Brean Golf Club should definitely be on your nice weather to-do list.
Everyone likes walking along the beach, and this one happens to only be around 200 metres away from the site. Even if you’re not brave enough to go in the water, simply walking along this lovely stretch of sand is a lovely experience. If you want to go slightly further and see something different then we’d recommend Brean Down. Only 15 minutes drive down the road, Brean Down is a National Trust owned landmark of the Somerset coastline.
The Fishing Lake
Another of HRU’s attractions is the Fishing Lake, despite its name you don’t have to be a keen angler to enjoy this space. You can feed the ducks and Canadian geese or just sit down and relax. If you do want to fish, the lake is full of a variety of species including: tench, roach, bream and more. See if you can catch our notorious 22lb carp!
HRU offers camping & touring all year round with options for everyone, from pitch spots to hot tub lodges, HRU should be your go-to option for a holiday park in Somerset. For more information on outdoor activities you can do this March call our team on 01278 751235 or book your holiday now!
