Brean Kite Festival

Following the success of the event in Burnham-on-Sea in 2017, 2018 sees a new Kite Fest come to Brean which will welcome contributors and spectators from across the country, as well as attract international visitors, taking place on June 2nd & 3rd (at Beachside) on Brean beach.

Featuring Power Kite Buggy Racing and stack Kite Competitions on the miles of sandy beach, this is a free event for all to enjoy. There will be a programme of kiting shows and competitions, as well as ‘Learn to Fly’ area. Kite Traders and crafters sit alongside food and drink facilities including a picnic area and play ground.
Saturday kicks off with the crafters, stalls, displays and Learn to Fly open from 10.00a.m. Parking is on the beach from 10.00a.m. with races and competitions from 11.00a.m. The programme runs through to the illuminated Kite Display, live music and bar from 8.00 p.m. on Saturday evening. Sunday’s programme finishes at 5.30p.m.
