A great camping holiday in Somerset is something for all the family to enjoy, including your dog, and having your dog with you on your adventures is part of the fun. The challenge so often, however, is where to find dog friendly camping or caravan holidays?

Taking Your Dog on Your Camping Holiday To Brean

Brean is an ideal place for dogs, not least for the miles of beach and surrounding countryside walks, but because Holiday Resort Unity welcomes dogs in both the touring and camping fields. This means that:

  • You don’t have to go to the expense and have the worry of leaving your dog in kennels or with someone to look after while you’re away.
  • Your dog can be part of the happy memories you make together.
  • If you’re on holiday with the kids, they can have their beloved pet with them, which can make the holiday all the more enjoyable.

Dog-Friendly CampSite In Somerset – With An Important Difference

Not only do we welcome dogs here at our Brean Sands holiday park, but we’ve even laid-on something a bit special to make it as easy an enjoyable as possible for our guests to take their dogs on really enjoyable scenic walks, taking in the beauty of the Somerset countryside, and being able to enjoy a rest along the way. We have a dedicated dog walk adjacent to the pond and yellow field (dogs must be kept on a lead). This walk continues on towards that most prominent local landmark and beauty spot, Brent Knoll, by crossing the small road and picking up the bridleway.

As a welcome rest stop for you and your dog, we also have a dog-friendly cafe (Coast Cafe) situated at Brean Leisure Park.

Dogs Allowed on the Beach at Brean, All Year!

One of the good things about a dog-friendly camping holiday at HRU in Brean is that you’re only very short distance from the beach. Some great features of the beach at Brean are:

  • It is soft, flat, golden coloured sand. This means that unlike pebble beaches, its very kind on dog paws.
  • It goes on for a long way! In fact, Brean beach has seven miles of glorious golden sands!
  • In the warmer months when the sea is calmer, it’s great for paddling and splashing around in, something that your dog can enjoy too!
  • Dogs are allowed on the beach at Brean all year round!
