MEET THE “FAMILY”

Buster, Huey, Sally and Cecil the friendly wolf have been favourites here at HRU for some generations now. You can join them each day for Piglet Family Funtime, offering a full range of fun-filled games and activities which include a circus skills workshop, pirate treasure hunts, family Olympics, teddy bear picnics, prize bingo and eye-spy wildlife. During the early evening, there is more family fun with games, competitions, magic shows and everybody’s favourite party dances.

PERFECT TODDLER FRIENDLY FARM HOLIDAYS UK

Get up close to our real animals at our on-site Fun Farm. We have donkeys, miniature ponies, chickens, sheep and more! Take the opportunity to feed and pet the animals daily (Check at reception for times during your stay). You may even spot the donkeys and ponies being taken for a walk around the site from time to time all equaling one thing, the best toddler friendly farm holidays in the uk.

SPLISH SPLASH AT BREAN SPLASH!

Whatever the weather, you can have hours of fun at Brean Splash. With an outdoor fun pool with mini waterslides and a seaside themed play area, an indoor 25m lane pool kept at a balmy 30 degrees, indoor shallow splash pool with lots of water-filled fun and interactive water activities, and our new toddler pool which we opened in June of 2017, there is plenty to keep your toddler entertained! Guests of HRU receive half price entry, or save even more by booking before you arrive!

PLAY DAYS

Adjacent to Splash is Brean Play, our state of the art “under the sea” themed indoor soft play centre which opened in 2014. With designated areas for babies, toddlers, and older children, it offers a safe and interactive environment for your little ones to play in. Time is unlimited (unless extremely busy), and it offers plenty of colourful seating as well as a café and view of the indoor splash pool. It’s open daily from 9.30am – 5.30pm for children ages 0-11 years old (maximum height 148cm), and again, as a guest of HRU you can receive half price entry. It’s great on a wet day, but also nice and quiet on dry days!!

BE A NATURE DETECTIVE

With awards for our commitment to wildlife and conservation, take a stroll around the holiday park and visit our wildlife and conservation areas where you can spot various wildflowers, insects and bugs, as well as a variety of birds. You might even be lucky and spot a hedgehog or a little field mouse. At our fishing lake, you will often be met by friendly ducks and the occasional water vole might peep his head out. If you are bringing your dog with you, then we also have a safe, designated dog walk to enjoy with your little one as well as your four-legged friend.

ACTION AND ADVENTURE

At Brean Leisure Park there are a selection of rides for little ones like the Caterpillar Coaster, Fantasia and Pony Express housed in Brean Theme Park. You will also find our new Teddy Mountain, where your little one can pick a soft toy, stuff it, and dress it- a perfect momento of their holiday at HRU! Brean Leisure Park is also the home of all-time favourite Sooty. You can see Sooty, Sweep and Soo in their own stage show every day – FREE! You can also visit Sooty’s TV Studio and see the miniature sets and props as well as Sooty memorabilia from the last 65 years! Meet CITV stars Richard Cadell and Sooty here on selected dates throughout the School Holidays.

BESIDE THE SEASIDE

Did you know, we have miles (seven to be exact) of sandy beach just across the road? Brean beach provides hours of traditional bucket and spade time, and whilst the tide isn’t always in, it does also offer safe waters to paddle in when it does make an appearance! Pack up your picnic and head out for a day on the Somerset coast, make sandcastles, explore the sand dunes and you can even have a ride on a pony (seasonal). Close by if you did want to take the car, or the open top Coaster bus, are our neighbouring resorts of Burnham-on-Sea and Weston-super-Mare where you will find yet more sandy beaches, as well as shops, cafes and restaurants.

THEMED AND SEASONAL ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS

Throughout the year we have themed and seasonal events, which include Easter and Halloween activities, a summer holiday kids’ entertainment programme and a special programme of events and activities for toddlers. We also offer many themed breaks throughout the year, which in 2017 included a bespoke toddler break, a term-time break aimed specifically at pre-schoolers! Keep an eye out for what’s on offer in 2018!

BOWLED OVER

On-site we have our very own ten pin bowling alley with bumpers available so toddlers can enjoy a game! Another activity ideal for a wet day.

PLAY & EXPLORE

On-site we have outdoor play areas, and you can hire bikes and go-karts on which to explore the site, which offers lots of open space and beautiful countryside views as well as all the fun and activities on offer. There are numerous places to stop off and grab a bite to eat and drink too, all with child-friendly menus!
