Pets Welcome at Holiday Resort Unity
We know as a family-run business that pets are part of the family, and that’s why here at Holiday Resort Unity we have a selection of pet-friendly accommodation, so every member of your family can enjoy a holiday.
Pet Friendly Accommodation
Our hire fleet of Platinum, Popular and Classic static mobile homes offer modern, fully equipped self catering accommodation – unlike many holiday parks, just because you are bringing your pet doesn’t mean that you don’t get the same standard of accommodation as all of our other guests! These units can accommodate between six and eight people, and are fully double glazed and centrally heated.
Pets are welcome in all of our caravan and camping fields should you be bringing your own caravan, tent or motorhome. There is one area in the Yellow Field, however, where pets are not permitted, so please make sure you let us know when booking if you are bringing your pet with you.
Terms & Pricing
Dogs are to be kept on leads at all times. A maximum of two dogs per unit are allowed. We charge £3.00 per dog, per night in our camping and touring fields and £35.00 per dog, per break in our hired accommodation.
Walking your Dog
We have a dedicated dog walk on site, with dog litter bins at either end, but bagged dog waste is permitted in all general waste bins across the site. We will supply you with a welcome pack of biodegradable dog waste bags on your arrival. Please clean up after your dog.
There are plenty of walks in the area. Brean and Berrow beach are both dog-friendly all year round, as are certain parts of Burnham-on-Sea beach, apart from the main section of sands from the Jetty to the Pavilion, which has a dog ban between April and October.
Brean Down is a popular walk for dog owners, but please keep your dog on a lead at all times. As well as wild ponies, goats and cattle there are very steep drops and inclines. Pet friendly days out in the area include Cheddar Gorge and Caves, Glastonbury Abbey, Hestercombe Gardens, Weston-super-Mare Helicopter Museum and the gardens at The Bishop’s Palace, Wells, to name a few.
Food & Drink
On site, we have a dedicated dog walk, and in May 2018 we opened a dog friendly licenced café, COAST, at Brean Leisure Park, which does not only serve Costa Coffee and a selection of hot and cold drinks and snacks for humans, but also has a dedicated dog menu offering treats, starters, mains and dessert! It’s open daily from 10am to 5pm.
Pet Supplies & In An Emergency
Should you need a vet during your stay, Blake’s Veterinary Surgery is not far down the road, and they can be contacted on 01278 794794 or in an out of hours emergency 01278 451592.
The Costcutter store on site sells a selection of wet and dry dog food, treats, dog waste bags and basic supplies.
In nearby Weston-super-Mare there is a large Pets at Home store which incorporates a dog grooming salon and a Vets 4 Pets surgery.
We know how overwhelming it can be trying to plan the perfect annual getaway. And the confusing amount of information online doesn’t always make it easier.
That’s why we decided to put together a six-part email series to help you get loads of information about Brean, and make the correct decision on where to go on holiday.
