If your little ones are animal lovers, then a trip to the zoo is a perfect way to spend a day while holidaying with HRU. We’re situated near some brilliant zoos and animal parks where you can see creatures great and small.
Animal Farm Adventure Park
Local favourite, Animal Farm Adventure Park is less than five minutes from HRU. Pet rabbits and rats, feed llamas and goats, or be brave and say hello to snakes and tarantulas!
As it’s situated so close to our campsite, you can choose to enjoy a full or half day at Animal Farm, letting you make the most of your day.
Life is much better, down where it’s wetter and here you can see! SeaQuarium in Weston-super-Mare lets you see what lives in our oceans and seas. With daily feeding demonstrations and a touch pool, kids can learn about creatures and conservation in a fun and entertaining way.
Combine with a visit to Weston’s famous pier for a fun yet busy day out.
Hitting headlines recently, for the birth of baby gorilla Afia, Bristol Zoo is situated in Clifton, 15 minutes’ drive from Bristol’s city centre. Home to lions, penguins, and seals to name just a few, the zoo makes a fun day out for all.
Positioned close to the Suspension Bridge, why not ride or walk across as part of your day? Or head to the Downs for some spectacular views of the gorge.
Wild Place Project
If you don’t fancy heading into Bristol and visiting their zoo in Clifton, then why not check out The Wild Place Project. Based near Cribbs Causeway, and a short car ride up the M5, Wild Place is the perfect place for a family day out. With lemurs, meerkats, wolves (like our Cecil), zebras, and cheetahs, there’s plenty of animals.
If anyone doesn’t fancy looking at animals all day, then The Mall is nearby and home to over 150 shops.
