Close to Junction 22 of the M5, we are not just easy to find, we lend ourselves as a great base for exploring. Whether it’s one of the well-known Somerset towns or villages such as Cheddar and Glastonbury, but also further afield to the cities of Bristol and Bath too.
Further down the Somerset Coast you can visit the quaint harbours of Porlock, Blue Anchor and Watchet, the medieval village of Dunster set beneath the stunning castle, or the busy seaside resort of Minehead.
If you enjoy the outdoors, then a holiday with us is certainly for you. Often perceived as being busy and bustled, on our doorstep we have seven miles of golden sands, the National Trust site of Brean Down, and a variety of cycle routes and walks. As of 2018 we are now connected to the South West Coast Path, via the new stretch of the England Coast Path popular with both walkers and cyclists.
Literally across the road you will find the beaches of Berrow and Brean, offering flat sandy beaches ideal for making sandcastles, playing beach games, BBQs and water sports. Just a 5 minute drive south you will find Burnham-on-Sea beach and pier, and 10 minutes to the north the popular seaside resort of Weston-super-Mare, so there is plenty of choice for a holiday at the seaside. A coastal open top bus services runs between the resorts throughout the day and picks up just outside the holiday park entrance.
Holiday Resort Unity is a pet friendly award-winning holiday park. Dogs are welcome on all of our camping fields (apart from a section of Yellow Field) and in our selection of pet friendly hired accommodation, so you don’t ever have to worry about leaving these important family members behind! Our entertainment venues, RJ’s on site for guests only, and The Tavern & the Bucket & Spade at Brean Leisure Park serve a traditional English pub-style menu daily, with the Tavern also serving traditional Sunday carvery.
At Brean Leisure Park you will find the Food Pavilion which serves Wimpy style burgers and fried chicken, and an ice cream parlour. Brean Play has a café that serves Starbucks coffee and light lunches and snacks.
Brean Country Club, which opened at the beginning of the year, is open for breakfast, lunch afternoon tea and more formal evening dining.
For those of you that enjoy fishing, we have a well-stocked on-site fishing lake which is free to use whilst you are staying with us. This is a really popular attraction and also attracts a great deal of wildlife, including resident families of ducks and Canada Geese.
2018 saw great success for Brean’s Holiday Resort Unity and our commitment to wildlife and conservation, from appearing on Hugh’s Wild West in the spring to opening the Secret Wood in partnership with Secret World Wildlife Rescue so animals can be safely released back into the wild. We have also been awarded the “5in5” badge for our wildlife friendly hedgerows, and the accolade as a “Honey Bee Friendly” park and will soon be producing our own honey!
We’re a haven for wildlife and will be running various events throughout the summer holidays which include wild walks, birds of prey demonstrations, mini forest schools and night vision experiences.
